checkout.liquid file is missing for non plus shopify user

We are using variable from checkout.liquid file in additional script and understand that the checkout.liquid file is going to be deprecated. plus merchant can use the  checkout extensibility and what will be the solution for non-plus merchant as the checkout.liquid is being deprecated.

Thank you for sharing your question here. From what I understand about this transition, customizing the thank you page will still be supported for non plus merchants using checkout extensibility. This will most likely be through the use of apps built on the new framework. As we get closer to a full rollout of this more details will become available.
