Checkout Shipping cost calculation

Hi I am trying to add various box sizes to various products in order to calculate the proper Canada Post shipping on checkout, why is this so complicated to do, or is it just me...?????

What is the exact issue you are facing? 
You can add your product weight & dimensions & add a set of boxes that will get selected automatically based on the product selected. Are you looking for something like this?
