Hi @Nicole_K1 ,

If your Shopify website is secure but is being flagged as "Not Secure" when accessed via the Google My Business (GMB) link, there are a few potential reasons and solutions to investigate:

1. Check the URL in Google My Business

  • Ensure that the website URL in your GMB listing is correctly set to "https://". Sometimes, the URL in GMB may mistakenly have "http://" (without the "s"), which triggers the "Not Secure" warning.

    To fix this:-

    • Log in to your Google My Business account.
    • Go to the "Info" section and find the "Website" field.
    • Ensure the URL starts with "https://". If it doesn’t, update it and save the changes.

2. Verify SSL Certificate

  • Even if your hosting provider has confirmed that the SSL certificate is active, double-check that there are no misconfigurations. You can use online tools like SSL Checker to validate the SSL status and configuration.

3. Check for Mixed Content Issues

  • Sometimes, even if the primary connection is secure, your site might be loading some resources (like images, scripts, or stylesheets) over an insecure connection (http://). This results in a "Not Secure" warning.
  • To identify mixed content

    • Open your site in Chrome.
    • Right-click and select "Inspect" to open the Developer Tools.
    • Go to the "Console" tab and look for any warnings about mixed content.
    • If you find any resources being loaded over HTTP, update those links to HTTPS within your Shopify theme settings or code.

4. Clear Cache and Test in Incognito Mode

  • Sometimes, the browser might be showing an outdated status due to caching. Clear your browser’s cache or test the link in Incognito mode to see if the issue persists.

5. Redirection Issues

  • Ensure that any redirects from "http://" to "https://" are correctly configured. If there are issues with the redirection, the browser may still detect an insecure connection.

6. Check Google Search Console

  • If you have your site verified with Google Search Console, see if there are any issues or warnings related to your SSL or domain configuration.

If the problem continues after trying these steps, updating your GMB listing with the correct HTTPS link and re-verifying the domain with Google might help resolve the issue.

5. Redirection Issues

  • Ensure that any redirects from "http://" to "https://" are correctly configured. If there are issues with the redirection, the browser may still detect an insecure connection.

6. Check Google Search Console
