CJdropshipping - Order Processing Priority experience?

Hello, i use CJdropshipping for custom jewellery currently...

overall the processing and shipping experience has been absolutely horrendous, like x2-x3 from what it says.

i've got 3 orders still pending, not even processing, from multiple weeks back

i've bought other products in the past that had the same result, but nothing in quantity to where i could have an opinion... until now

Question is, how much quicker is the processing once you've earned priority processing?

(£2,000 orders i believe) - like if something would normally take 3 weeks to process, would it cut it down to a week or under as advertised for %95 of orders? or is it marginal improvements

Hi @mcgifts3

Dealing with long processing times, especially when you're relying on CJdropshipping for custom jewelry, can be super frustrating—especially when the actual wait time is way longer than what they initially promised. It’s even worse when you’ve got multiple orders stuck in limbo for weeks. Totally get why you’d want to know if priority processing is really worth it.

So, about the Priority Processing upgrade—yes, in theory, it should significantly speed things up. Once you hit that £2,000 order threshold, CJ claims that 95% of orders will be processed within 1-3 days instead of the standard wait time, which can be much longer for regular users. The key benefit is that your orders jump the queue ahead of non-priority ones, meaning suppliers and warehouses handle them faster.

But here’s the reality: while it does improve things, it’s not always a night-and-day difference. If your normal processing time is 3 weeks, cutting it down to under a week can happen, but it’s not guaranteed—especially for custom products like jewelry, which tend to have longer production times. Based on reports from other sellers:

  • For regular stock items – Priority processing often does bring it down to 3-5 days.
  • For custom orders (like jewelry) – The improvement is there, but it might not be as dramatic. Expect more like a 30-50% reduction rather than an instant fix.

One more thing—supplier speed plays a big role too. If a supplier is naturally slow or dealing with backlogs, even priority processing won’t magically make them work faster. It just means your order gets handled before non-priority ones.

Final thoughts? If you're scaling up and plan to continue with CJ, it’s worth getting priority processing since it will help, but don’t expect every order to magically ship in a few days. If long wait times are killing your business, it might also be worth looking into alternative suppliers or diversifying where you source your custom jewelry.

If you need extra help, just let me know asap. Thanks!
Daisy
