Collection banner video not showing on iPhone

Hello, 

I hope someone can help.  This is the collection page with the issue:   https://houseofkhalsa.com/collections/immortal

It should show this video with thumbnail.

It shows fine on android devices and computers and on Chrome Dev Tools but NOT on iPhone mobile devices.

Please help.  Stay safe

iPhone disabled the use of autoplay videos on their devices so it will just show a blank space where the content should be.

Would recommend using static images for mobile view either way to save on customer data usage.

Thanks @WoodyDev for your time.  I thought about that also, but on other collections, the video banner is fine on iPhone.  For example, this collection page here:   https://houseofkhalsa.com/collections/diamond-ruby-bezel

Can you please check if the video banner on that page is showing on your iPhone?

No problem!

The video seems to appear but it doesn't autoplay on that second collection, but it doesn't appear on the first collection at all, that's very strange.

Try adding the video from diamond-ruby-bezel to the immortal banner and see if it appears, if it does, it will be a video file issue.

It's now showing the video but no thumbnail.  Other collections are showing the video and the thumbnail.

On my iPhone it doesn't display any thumbnails, its just a black box with a play button

Yes, that's the issue.  Can that be fixed?  Maybe add a thumbnail using CSS?

Btw, the video is being fed using metafields if that helps.  Can we add a thumbnail on the metafield?

I'm not actually sure as I don't use meta fields that often you might need to ask of of the other partners/devs if they know, sorry 😞
