Collection customer's phone number at checkout

Hi,

I want to collect customer's phone number at the checkout page.

In the checkout setting, I have enabled option Marketing consent => SMS marketing: Show an option to subscribe at checkout. 

In the checkout page, it showed option "Text me with news and offers" and an input to enter phone number. But after the customer fill out phone number and checkout successfully. It didn't save the customer's phone number.

Could you help me? Thanks a lot.
