All things Shopify and commerce
I am having trouble getting my collections to appear when I click on them. When I add a Collection List to my store, I click one of the collections, and the items within that collection do not appear. If one of my collections is "activewear" I am redirected to the activewear page, but the activewear products are not showing. The page shows all of my collections. If I click within any of my collections, it does the same thing.
Has anyone seen this issue before?
Thank you
Hello, Jacob89
I have several reasons why the collection aren't desplayed:
Check Collection Visibility: Ensure that the collections and their products are set to be visible and available for online sales. You can check this in your Shopify admin under "Products" > "Collections" > [Your Collection] > "Visibility" and "Sales Channels."
Verify Product Availability: Make sure that the products within the collections are available for purchase and have not been hidden or marked as "out of stock."
Check Collection URLs: Ensure that the URLs for each collection do not conflict with each other or with other pages on your website. Make sure the URLs are unique and correctly linked to the corresponding collections.
Check Theme Customization: If you are using a custom theme or have made customizations, ensure that there are no conflicting scripts or changes affecting the collection display.
Check Collection Templates: Verify that the collection templates are set up correctly. If you've made custom templates or modifications, ensure that they are displaying the products as intended.
I hope that my answer helps you to resolve the issue. If you need a more detailed explanation or further help - just contact me.
Hello @Jacob89,
This is Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $7Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
Here are some possible reasons why your collections may not appear when you click on them, along with suggested actions to address the issue.
- Ensure the collection is published. Collections must be published, to be visible on your store. To verify the publication status, go to Products > Collections and select the specific collection. The publication status will be indicated at the top of the collection's page.
- Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies. Clearing the cache and cookies can resolve display issues on websites. You can usually find this option in your browser's settings.
- Verify that the products in the collection are active. Only active products will be displayed in the collection. Check the active status of each product. The active status will be shown at the top of the product's page.
- Confirm that the collection is correctly linked in your navigation. Ensure that the collection list is linked to the appropriate collection in your store's navigation.
- Check if the collection is being filtered. Collections can be filtered based on tags, price, or other criteria, which may lead to certain products not appearing. To address this, click on the "Clear filters" button at the top of the collection page.
- Attempt accessing your store from a different device or browser. This can help identify whether the problem is specific to your current device or browser.
- Disable any extensions or add-ons in your browser. Sometimes, browser extensions can interfere with website content display. Temporarily disabling them might resolve the issue.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you require any additional assistance.
