All things Shopify and commerce
Hello,
My situation is as following: my shop is currently connected to my .be domain and I would like it to migrate to the .eu domain I also own.
The problem is that my .eu domain is currently handling my professional email address, managed by outlook. I therefore already have a CNAME and a A domain records. I afraid that if I delete the Outlook entries to connect the Shopify ones I might lose access to my email address.
My domains are hosted by OVH.
Does anyone know how to solve that problem?
Many thanks

Hi @Grydrow,
You can connect your Shopify store to your .eu domain without affecting your Outlook email by carefully managing your DNS records. Here’s how you can do it step by step:
1. Update Your A Record for Shopify
2. Add Shopify’s CNAME Record
3. Preserve Your Email Records
Do not delete any MX (Mail Exchange) or TXT records related to Outlook. These records handle your email service, so they need to remain untouched. Common records for Outlook include:
4. Verify Your Setup in Shopify
Let us know how it goes!

Hi @dctechnolabs,
Thank you for your quick and valuable response. It works !
For anyone who would have the same problem as me: One of my two 'A' record contained 'www' which had for consequence not to let me add the 'www' CNAME domain. I therefore had to remove the A entry and everything works.
Do NOT buy your domain directly through Shopify. They simply resell domains from a third party, and when issues arise, they offer no real support. My website has been down for over 40 hours, and Shopify is telling me to contact the third-party provider despite the fact that I purchased the domain through Shopify. Meanwhile, the third party says they cannot assist me and that I must contact Shopify instead.
No one is helping, and my website is still not working. This is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional from Shopify. Very disappointed.
