Connecting my store

I had a store built for me from a well known person and I am trying to launch it with either tiktok or pinterest but I licked off of both because it was not totally ready.  Was missing some of the steps that I was not aware of.  I tried updating the steps but was told that the domain through the free setup was not compatible with their website. How can I find out what I am doing wrong?  I tried to read the help section, and also listen to different online information and I can't get a proper answer.  I am totally new and green to this online business and I just need a little assistance.  Thanks

Hi, @joangigwork

Welcome to the Shopify Community.

I understand you have some questions regarding integrating TikTok and Pinterest as well as questions surrounding domains. To gather further context, could you provide information on the following:

  • Could you provide clarification on what steps you're missing when integrating the two platforms to your Shopify store?
  • Can you share more context on what steps you updated and what domain you're referring to?
  • Could you advise more on the domain through the free set up not being compatible on the website. Are you able to share which website?
  • If you're able to share further context and screenshots for visibility.

In regard to integrating TikTok and Pinterest, you can install the apps from the Shopify App Store in order to connect it to your store. Another option instead of going directly to the app store is login to your Shopify store's admin. Under Sales Channel, click TikTok or Pinterest.

Lastly, I'll share some helpful resources to guide you with setting up and selling on each app:

If you have any questions on the onboarding process or have additional questions, feel free to share them here.

Good morning Victoria,
https://admin.shopify.com/store/97b416-2

I am a total novice to the online ecom world and I am really trying to see
if I can get this to work. I am tired of working for someone. I need to do
this for my peace of mind and financial freedom. I don't know if I made the
corrections according to what was stated in the violations.

These are two violations that I have had using the connections within
the Shopify Store and now they cancelled me out without me even getting
started. I really do not understand the process and I am trying to do this
on my own, but it is not as easy as I thought it would be. I don't have a
specific name for my store and I don't know what else I need, because I am
kind of flying blind. I signed up with a webinar, and they made the free
store setup and stated that it was ready to go, so I tried to do just that
and these are the notices I received. I hope you can help me out. Thanks

Compliance Incorrect Registration Information - Shop Closure.AH. The

We noticed some inconsistencies in the information used to complete your
shop registration. To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, we
applied violation points to your shop based on this. As a result, your

The shop has been permanently closed. The settlement and withdrawal of shop

statements will not be accepted as form of ID) - Tax returns (individual or
business as applicable) NOTE: DO NOT SUBMIT ANY BUYER INFORMATION - THIS

Hi joangigwork,
You recently uploaded your catalog to Pinterest. To help us keep shopping
inspirational and actionable, we have a specialist review all merchants
against our policies and guidelines
<>.
Unfortunately, your business does not currently meet requirements to be a
merchant on Pinterest.
Merchants who do not comply with our guidelines will not be able to
distribute or promote product Pins from their catalog on Pinterest. Due to
the policy violation(s) mentioned below, items from your catalog will not
be distributed on Pinterest until these violations are corrected:
• Merchant's returns policy is unclear or unavailable

• Merchant's shipping policy is unclear or unavailable

• Merchant's domain does not meet brand information requirements

• Merchant's domain age does not meet minimum requirements.

• Merchant does not meet minimum website quality requirements

We want merchants to offer the best customer service possible, and that
includes setting clear expectations about product quality, price, delivery
times and return processes.
We recommend following these best practices for return policies:
• Ensure that your return policy is easy to find on your website. If you
don't accept returns, this must be clearly stated as well

• Provide clear instructions for returns, including expected processing
timelines

We recommend following these best practices for shipping policies:
• Ensure that your shipping policy is clearly visible and easy to find on
your website

• Display expected shipping or processing times and costs, in addition to
download information for digital product sales

If you'd like to appeal this decision, please review our policies and
guidelines for more detailed information on how you can get your products
on Pinterest. After updating your information, you may follow the following
instructions to submit an appeal, noting that you will have no more than 2
appeal attempts:
1. Follow this link
<>

2. Under Actions, click *View Issues*

3. Provide information on what violations have been updated in the form

4. Click *Submit* and a member of our team will provide an update about
your appeal

As always, we also require continued compliance with our Business Terms of
Service
<>
and Community Guidelines
<>
for
all merchants on Pinterest.
Thank you

Thanks for following up and sharing this context, @joangigwork.

I can definitely understand the urgency and concern to have these issues resolved.

I would like to advise that Shopify does not have control over the decision-making process of platforms like TikTok and Pinterest when it comes to accepting or rejecting a shop. The decision to accept or reject an account on these platforms (TikTok and Pinterest) is solely determined by the respective platform's guidelines, policies, and algorithms.

It looks as though you can appeal the decision on both platforms based on the message they sent you. I would ensure you have read TikTok Shop Guidelines and Pinterest's Merchant Guidelines prior to appealing. This is to ensure your Shop meets each platforms guidelines. If you do have follow-up questions surrounding the decision, I encourage you to reply to the email/message you have received from TikTok or Pinterest.

If you have any questions related to Shopify or setting up your own store, I'd be happy to take a closer look and help out.

Thanks Victoria for your input. I definitely will be appealing but I would
like to know if you are able to take a look at my store to see if I am
missing anything. I did make some corrections that I hope will suffice
cause I don’t want to not do this and quit like I always do.
Would be greatly appreciated.

While I don't have access to your admin here, you can share a link to your store or screenshot(s) of the sections you're referring to, and I can take a look. If you're sharing screenshots please ensure any sensitive information is blurred.

Hi again, @joangigwork.

Thanks for your reply.

Based on the information shared from your previous message, I'm not sure if I understand the specific questions you have.

I would like to provide clarity around my previous reply regarding sharing a link to your store. Through our community forum, we are unable to access account information such as tickets, your admin etc. This means I do not have the authentication tooling to access the admin links shared in your reply. If you'd like, you can share the link to your website (your domain URL - this is what customers see when navigating to your store) so we can take a look at your storefront.

I'm also unable to access the images you have attached. For account-specific questions, you may benefit more by connecting with our live support team via the Shopify Help Center. Once logged in through the Help Center, you will need to communicate with the Help Center Assistant to connect with a Support Advisor. This will ensure your account is safely authenticated, so our team can take a closer look at any account-specific queries you may have.

If you have questions regarding navigating the Help Center, please share them here.

I thank you for all that information in that previous email but I actually got rid of that store and created a new one. I went through the entire process and was confirmed that this store is ready to go but I don't know what else to do with it. I need to know how I should promote it. I watched a lot of YouTube to understand the steps, but I just don't understand any of it. I really don't want to cancel the store and all the time I have put into trying to get it up and running. I tried to connect it to TikTok and every time I get through one step, I get another error message. I can't afford to pay anyone to help me with setup and the different processes, so I don't know if there is any way you can point me in the right direction. I have done a lot of shopify chat, TikTok chat, YouTube videos and I still don't understand what exactly I am doing, so if you can, please help. Thanks Please if you could send all your answer to joans.dreamshop, not what is listed on the previous email.

This is my new store's name - Joan's Dream Shop  97b416-2.myshopify.com
