All things Shopify and commerce
Hi all.
Hoping someone out there can advise.
I worked with a dev team to upgrade our old legacy Impulse theme to the latest version, copying across the site as it was but just cleaning up the code and looking to benefit from increased speeds and functionality of Shopify 2.0.
I published the new theme a couple of weeks and since then I have seen increased speeds, improved visibility and ranking via Google console, and improved traffic (could be seasonal build), so all seems good on that front. However, along with the footfall increase my conversion seems to have been negatively impacted, dropping by around 0.7% points. When I look at the conversion funnel it seems to be impacted at the top of the funnel with a lower add to bag rate, with % of those reaching checkout, then purchasing seemingly unaffected.
is this just a by-product of increased traffic, or is there something going on here? Any advise welcome.
Thanks

Hey.
I did implement the 1 page checkout at the same time but the last stage of the funnel (reached checkout to purchased) has remained unchanged, which is the stage that would be affected
