All things Shopify and commerce
We stock inventory at a number of different locations (stores and a central warehouse) All our orders are fulfilled by the warehouse. When a customer orders a product that's stocked in store, we handle the transfer of stock to the warehouse.
We want each location listed in Shopify so we can offer click and collect orders so we don't want a dummy location with the aggregated inventory total.
The problem is when a customer orders a product that's coming from multiple locations, Shopify will either up the shipping for all the locations. We want to offer a single shipping option even if there are multiple locations and think we need to build a custom app to achieve this.
Has anyone else had a similar issue they were able to tackle by building a custom app and could provide any advice? With either the solution or finding a Shopify Partner who developed this.
