Create Different Shopping Experience for Logged in Users

Hey all,

I wanted to know if anyone has a solution for the following scenario:

Our ecom client wants to offer different pricing for their products to their wholesale clients. Ideally, their wholesale clients create an account (we do not offer user accounts to regular visitors currently), and after logging in they are able to access all products in their shop at a discounted price. 

How would we be able to accomplish this?

Do all your wholesale customers have a specific tag or metafield on their accounts?
