Create sub filters using metafields

Hey Guys I'm Trying to sub-categorize my metafield filters.

I run a jewelry store, and would like to do a main category filter based on themes such as: Ocean, Celestial, Nature, Animals etc...  and when that filter value is selected I'd like to show another metafield filter named the same as the selected value that will have subcategories such as whales, shells, turtle, waves, etc... under ocean and so on. I've created a metafield theme, and other ones named with specific themes but they all show up at once and I'd like them to be only visible when the selection for that particular theme filter is selected.

Does anyone have an Idea if I can create a logic operation for those meta field filter values which after being selected shows the other filtering option?

To understand your expectations can you show your work, how and what types of metafields were created and example of how you filled them in for a product/collection.

Regardless, filters don't work like that without advanced customizations.

Stick to making top level collections that have products only with the relevant metafields/metafield values.
