Creating a percentage discount code that is not a whole number?

I would like to create an automatic discount code that is 3.85% off, but as far as I can tell, I can only enter whole numbers in the % field––it doesn't allow decimal points.

To provide some confirmation, you are correct. At this time, percent off discounts only allow for whole numbers to be used. As I can completely understand the impact, I will be sure to pass this along to our Developers. We're always looking for ways to improve the platform and appreciate the feedback. For the time being, you can look to the Shopify App Store for an app that may allow this.

We just signed up for this, and I'm already starting to regret it when I see all the very simple things it cannot do. I'm sure this request will go nowhere just like the rest of the threads that I've seen where people have been asking for the same thing for the last 5 years.

It would literally take your developers less than a half an hour to go in and add the ability to have a decimal place.

I absolutely understand your need for something like this in the platform you're using. At this time the best way to accomplish this is to use one of the apps available in the Shopify App Store.
