All things Shopify and commerce
I am an artist and I'd like to offer an original piece of artwork with several options for custom framing. Is there a way to add "options" for an additional fee? For instance, a customer can choose to order the piece unframed at $250, add a simple white frame for an additional $50, or add a high-quality hardwood frame for an additional $150. I'm looking for ways to make shopping for artwork on my site a more white-glove experience.
Perhaps there is an App that can help with this functionality?
Thank you!

Thank you so much! This is extremely helpful. Do you know if I use the "Buy Button" sales channel if these options will work? Or does it have to be through an online store only?
@danivinokurov As far as I am aware, the 3rd party functionality applies to Online Store only.
Hi @danivinokurov,
I noticed that you received some suggestions for third-party product options apps to set up your custom options. While those options may be useful, I'd like to offer an alternative app for your consideration, especially if you are looking for something more affordable and feature-rich 🤗.
The Easify Product Options app is a great option to explore. It offers a variety of impressive features, including 24 option types, Live Preview, in-cart option editing, a discount box on the cart page, and even Tiered wholesale pricing to boost sales for products with custom options.
Here's a quick demonstration on how you can utilize the app to set up your custom options:
Create an option that allows customers to choose between "Framed" or "Unframed" options. You can use Buttons, Radio Buttons, or Dropdown option input types to present this choice.
Add another option for customers to select a specific type of frame if they choose the "Framed" option in the previous step.
To make it visually appealing, you can use Image Swatches or Dropdown (with images) option input types. For each type of frame, you can set an extra cost to account for the pricing differences.
or:
Use conditional logic to display the frame type options only when "Framed" is selected. If customers choose "Unframed," the frame type options will be hidden. This conditional logic helps you establish the relationships and dependencies between the options.
Finally, assign these custom options to the relevant product(s) in your store.
As you can see, setting up and managing your custom options with the Easify Product Options app is a breeze. Why not give it a try and explore its full potential 🤔?
