Creating sets from the same inventory

Hi,

We need to make sets, coming all from the same inventory product.

Let's say we sell 4 kinds of pebbles. We want to sell a minium of 3 pcs of each pebble. We need to make a set, but quantity should go from that one inventory of that pebble.

The same if we wan to sell a pebble with a box. We will have the box in inventory and want to make a set of one pebble and a box. When sold both the inventory of the box and the pebble should be adjusted.

Same if we want to sell the 4 pebbles together. All 4 should go down in their own inventory. Seems bundles is more for different products, not the same.

Any tips on how to do this, to not manualy adjust inventory. I hope I'm a little bit clear in what I want.

Hi @PJAN, the app Material Manager is able to solve this issue. It allows you to enter an inventory of raw materials and then link them to your Shopify variants to keep all the inventories in sync. The raw materials themselves are not for sale, but when you sell products that are linked to the materials the material inventory will decrease as well as the inventory of any other products that use that material.

For your example you would enter 2 raw materials into the app, pebble and box. You would create a variant in Shopify for each number of pebbles you wish to sell together, as well as variants that includes boxes. You would then link each of those variants to the appropriate number of raw materials.

4 pebbles	4 x pebble
3 pebbles with box	3 x pebble, 1 x box

I see you want to create sets while keeping inventory synced for each item. I recommend using Easify Inventory Sync, which automatically adjusts stock levels for all included items when a set is sold. This way, whether you're selling individual pebbles, bundled sets, or a box with a pebble, the inventory updates correctly without manual work.

1. Create a Base Product: Set up a Base product of your pebbles for inventory tracking, with a quantity representing your total inventory (e.g., 1000 items). This product will be a Draft and won’t be visible in the storefront.

2. Set Up Bundle Groups: Use the app to create Bundle groups that connect your Base product with your set (3 pcs). Here’s how to set up a bundle group for your product:

• Master Product: your set product
• Component Product: The Base product of pebbles you created, with the Quantity per Bundle set to 3

3. Do the same with 1 pebble and box. You just need to create one more base product - your box, and use the app to create Bundle groups that connect your Base product with your box. It would be

• Master Product: your set product
• Component Product: The Base product of box you created, with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1
• Component Product: The Base product of pebbles you created, with the Quantity per Bundle set to 1

4. How It Works:

• The inventory for your set will be automatically calculated based on the Base product’s inventory.
• When 1 set with 3 pcs is purchased, the Base product of  inventory will be reduced by 3. When 1 set with 1 pebble and 1 box is purchased, the Base product of both inventory will be reduced by 1. The app will then recalculate the available quantities for your set on the updated Base product inventory, ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
