All things Shopify and commerce
I use a .csv file to uplaod products.
For some reason not all products are uploaded. I tried to determine what the error is but cannot find it.
Hopefully soemone can help me with this.
As an example and to make things easier to find I uploaded a test file with only 2 products.
The first product (handle: Sterling-silver-ring-ANPNB) is uploaded correctly on the website.
The second product (handle: Stainless-steel-bracelet-ACBR) is not uploaded at all.
In my opinion all the fields are identical, but somehow it does not work.
I have already ruled out all kinds of things but unfortunately without success.
Can someone have a look at this file.
Once figured out what the error is I can adjust the rest of my product file so that everything goes well.
Thanks in advacne for your help.
Kind regards,
Miquel
I'm facing same issue on my web appleservis.rs/apple-servis. let me know if get the solution.
Hi @Miquel1,
Usually when one product uploads fine but another doesn’t from the same CSV, it’s due to a small formatting issue or missing required fields in the second product’s row, such as an invalid handle, missing variant details, or incorrect data like extra commas or invisible characters. I recommend comparing both rows carefully in Excel or Google Sheets, ensuring all mandatory fields are filled correctly and match Shopify’s CSV template. Removing optional fields and testing a minimal version can also identify the problem.
Thanks!
Hello @Miquel1
I remember there is an article on Shopify Help Center which contains all problems happening when uploading products via CSV file. Here is the URL I find below, and you can check if any one of the factors listed in this article is what you encountered. Thank you!
