Hi @nisu,
When it comes to Shopify VS BigCommerce there is no comparison. Shopify out of the box has all the tools you need to launch a high volume shop at any plan level. There are a ton of beautifully crafted themes to choose from and a robust selection of apps to extend your shop functionality.
As a Shopify developer I can tell you there is way more options for apps. You will find that most freelancers and agencies are knowledgeable in setting up a Shopify store, so you will easily find skilled people out there to help you. Whether it's help you need with sales & marketing, accounting & taxes, payment processing, recurring subscriptions, Shopify has it. Enterprise level shops are using Shopify for it's easily integrated architecture. Speed is another factor, checkout is much faster than BigCommerce. Overall if you plan on scaling an eCommerce business, Shopify is the choice. Some of the largest retailers already use it. Not to mention support for brick and mortar, multi-language, multi-currency. The list goes on.
HI Nisu,
If you are a beginner or you simply want something that is easy, then Shopify is the perfect solution for you because of its user-friendly interface, extensive app ecosystem, and great design flexibility.
While BigCommerce is distinguished by its inbuilt functionalities such as scalability and advanced SEO tools that could cut additional expenses in big e-stores. The decision between the two depends on the size of your business, your level of technical knowledge, and what you plan for your business in the future. Best of luck.
