Custom Theme Product Pages Not Displaying Correctly

Hi everyone,
I’ve recently set up my website with a custom theme, but I’m encountering an issue where some product pages aren’t displaying correctly. On certain devices, the layout seems to break, or the pages fail to load entirely.

Has anyone else faced a similar problem when using a custom theme? If so, what steps did you take to troubleshoot and fix it? I suspect the issue might be related to the theme code, but I’m not entirely sure.

Any advice, tips, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @Alex1aqq

I've taken a close look at your situation with the custom theme on your website, where some product pages aren't displaying correctly on certain devices. Let's work through this together to identify and fix the problem.

1. Check for Browser Console Errors

Start by inspecting your website for any errors:

  • How to Do It: Right-click on the problematic page, select "Inspect," and then go to the "Console" tab.
  • What to Look For: Red error messages indicating issues like missing files or JavaScript problems.

2. Test Responsiveness Across Devices

Ensure your site looks good on all screen sizes:

  • How to Do It: Use Chrome's Developer Tools to simulate different devices.
  • What to Look For: Layout issues or elements that don't align properly.

3. Review Recent App Installations

Sometimes, new apps can cause conflicts:

  • How to Do It: Disable any recently added apps one by one.
  • What to Look For: See if the display issues persist after disabling each app.

4. Examine Theme Code for Errors

A small mistake in the code can lead to big problems:

  • How to Do It: Go to "Online Store" > "Themes" > "Actions" > "Edit Code," and review your product template files.
  • What to Look For: Typos or missing tags that could disrupt the layout.

5. Update or Reinstall the Theme

Keeping your theme updated can resolve many issues:

  • How to Do It: Check if there's a newer version of your theme available and update it.
  • What to Look For: Improvements in layout and functionality after the update.

By following these steps, you should be able to pinpoint and resolve the display issues on your product pages. If you need any other assistance, I am willing to help.

Best regards,

Daisy.
