All things Shopify and commerce
Hi, This is Habib from India. I am starting an e-store for the resellers who sell through social media. Can you please help me adding a direct download button of product media & description or a sharing button of whatsapp by which the resellers will share the product details with their customer.
Note: I am selling Fashion related products.
Thanks & Regards
Habib.
Hi, Habib!
Julie here from Shopify Support. Thanks for reaching out.
Adding a WhatsApp sharing button to your products pages can easily be done using an app like Social Sharing Buttons or Fancy Social Sharing. Both these apps will allow you to add social media sharing links to your product pages and give you the ability to customize the style, position, size, and colour of your buttons. Aside from WhatsApp buttons, these apps also include buttons for other social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr, Pinterest, and more. I recommend checking out both these apps to see which one you like the best. If you ever require any support with either of these apps, you can always contact the developers directly via the Support section on their app pages.
To address your question about a direct download button, what kind of files are you wanting your customers to download? Have you already uploaded the file in your Shopify Admin? Depending on whether you want your resellers to access the download before or after a purchase, there are a few of ways you could do this.
First, if you'd like to give your resellers the ability to download their file directly from the product page without making a purchase, then you could simply add a hyperlink to some text in your product description. This wouldn't necessarily look like a button, but it would still give your resellers the ability to download the file. This is a pretty straightforward and simple solution, but if you're specifically looking for a button, then one of the following options would suit your needs a bit better.
Second, you could use an app like ShopShare, which will allow you to attach digital files to any product or page. With ShopShare, you can also customize your buttons so that it matches the look and feel of your store. It also provides you with analytics, so you can see how many users are downloading your files. Some file types that you can use include videos, audio, documents, images, and more. If you're simply looking to have a button on your product page that anyone can download from, then I would definitely recommend this app.
Alternatively, you could use Shopify's Digital Downloads app. This app will allow you to create a digital product that your resellers can purchase (you can also make this product free). After they complete the checkout, they'll be automatically directed to a Thank-You page, where they'll see a download button. They'll also automatically receive an email post-purchase that includes the download link. Just keep in mind that this method would require your resellers to go through the checkout process.
I hope this provides you with a few good options, and I'm curious to know what you think. I'd also love to learn more about your business and the types of downloads your looking to offer your resellers.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi,
First of all thanks Julie and Shopify.com for helping me to make my shop myself. I am really happy for responding to my concern.
Hey Julie, as you described some apps like Social Sharing Buttons or Fancy Social Sharing can be used to share through social network, but this will share the link of my website. And you also shared ShopShare,Digital Downloads where ShopShare will share a particular file for every product and Digital Download will share the digital products but, I want to share the different image files of every different products and also to be copied the description if possible. And this all are physical products BTW.
You can understand by the following images.
The 1st one showing the download and social buttons of the media and description texts of the products and the 2nd one showing downloading of the media and the description of the particular product.
Hope you will understand and refer for the app that suits the requirement. And also refer me the free apps that suits the requirement if any.
Waiting for your support.
Thanks a lot to Julie and Shopify
Thanks for following up, @iamhabib!
I appreciate you sharing these screenshots. Before I dive into some solutions, I'd like to make sure that I completely understand what you're looking to achieve. Please feel free to correct me if I've misunderstood.
First, you would like to add a "Share to WhatsApp" button to your product pages, allowing customers to share a specific product rather than a link to your website. Is this correct? If this is the case, I did manage to find a couple of apps that sound like the perfect fit for you. Both WAShare Product and WhatShare are designed to allow customers to share product pages with their contacts in WhatsApp. Keep in mind, however, that this app only supports sharing to WhatsApp and does not offer integrations with other social media platforms.
These apps also include a few extra features; for example, WAShare Product also offers abandoned cart recovery, so you can reach out to your customers directly via WhatsApp once they abandoned their cart. WhatShare, on the other hand, offers an integration with your blog posts, so that customers are able to share blog posts as well as products. Both of these apps have some great reviews so I highly recommend checking them out to see which one you like the best.
Second, you would like to have your customers download images of your products. Is this right? May I ask what the purpose is for this? Typically, users can right-click on an image and select "Save image as...", which would allow them to save the images to their computer. However, if adding a download option for product images is something that you would like to do, then it looks like ShopShare would be the best option for you. If you've given this app a try and decide it's not what you're looking for, then it might be worth checking in with a Shopify Expert to see how this feature can be coded into your website.
Given the screenshot you have provided, it looks like this particular store has some pretty heavy customizations, which likely have been made through custom code, perhaps with the assistance of a Shopify Expert. If you're finding that neither of the suggested apps will suit your needs, then it sounds like reaching out to a Shopify Expert for assistance would be the nest best step. We have a ton of Experts highly skilled in web design and development who would be happy to assist.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction, but please let know if I've misunderstood!
