Customization To Preview Not Working

I chose a free theme to customize and I am debating purchasing a plan. After designing what I want my site to look like (image 1), the preview only shows image 2.Meanwhile the customizing feature shows image 1. Additionally, I am unsure of how to edit things like the yellow accents in image 3 from the free theme. I just want my website to look like image Please help, thanks!

Can you please share your store url.

Also, have you selected a plan ? It seems you are on the starter plan. You need to be on the Basic Shopify plan to edit and publish themes.

You can check by going to Settings --> Plan and can select the Basic plan. After that you can edit the Theme and Publish.

The second image you showed is a typical Starter plan setup image.
