customizing shipping methods title

Hi,

Is there a way to customize shipping methods title in checkout? 

As example ("FedEx 2Day" change it to be "FedEx Second Day")?

Or any recommended app for this issue

This may be possible through your theme language customizer. You'll want to navigate to your language editor by going to Online Store > Themes > Actions > Edit Languages. Here's a link with details instructions.

From here, use the search bar to find the lines you'd like to alter. Try keywords like "shipping" or "check out" page. If the field you want to edit isn't available, then you may need to get in touch with a Shopify Expert to assist.

As far as apps, it looks like Intuitive Shipping provides the ability to customizes things such as shipping titles, definitely worth a shot. However, although I suspect you already have this enabled, it's important to note that Shopify's Carrier Calculated Rates must be enabled to access this app. Here's how to activate those rates.

You can easily do this using the BeSure Checkout Rules app. Here are the steps after installing the app,

1 - Create a new rule of "Rename shipping methods".

2 - Inside the rule, enter the name of the shipping method you want to change i-e "FedEx 2Day" and then enter the new name i-e "FedEx Second Day".

3 - Click on create rule button and done.

This works for even basic Shopify plan. You can even add a message to the shipping method name to better handle customer expectations, for example, "Friday order will arrive on Monday" etc.

After a bit of stuffing around i think i have a work around that allows the 'transit time' data to be used in the cart and a way to explain what 'standard' shipping is. I used the language/theme content area to add a line of text below the Shipping Heading and above the shopify nominated 'Standard Shipping' line items.

I used "Advanced Shipping Rules" app. It did the work and give use more customization. Good app overall

Hi,

You can try Bony: Checkout Rules . After you install, please following these steps:

1. Click "Create delivery rule"

2. On "Action", please choose "Rename delivery method" and fill the current name and new name

3. If you just want to change based on some conditions, please choose "When conditions are met" then select the conditions you want (currently the app has 50+ conditions, if you want more, please let me know through live chat)

4. Change the status to "Published" and done
