Dawn Theme - Add to Cart duplicates QTY, Checkout in Cart staying within Cart

Hi all, we have a problem occurring in which when add product to Cart, the qty in Cart instead of -1- duplicates to -2-. Next when one corrects first or immediately clicks Checkout button - the page is stuck within the Cart and does not proceed to checkout. 

Hence the orders cannot finish placing orders with regular checkout. 

Shoppay or express checkout pay method does work. 

 

We are on Dawn Theme 11.0

 

Anyone experiencing this or or any hints or tips what to look into?

@fritsh Would love to look into it. But for these things it will be important to get into your store for which collaborator access will be needed since it is necessary that i face the same problem as you and to debug these things its important to look into the liquid code.

Typically when there are issues around the cart page or add to cart functionality, it's related to either a recently installed application, or a coding change made to the button or cart page causing the issue. I have a few questions to ask in order to collect some helpful context for us here in the thread:

 

  • Have you recently installed any new apps to your store?
  • Have you made any coding changes to your cart page, or to the functionality of the 'add to cart' button
  • When testing the cart page of a brand new copy of 'Dawn', are you able to replicate the issue?
