All things Shopify and commerce
Hi
I am using dawn theme.
I am converting to old customer accounts as I am having A LOT of issues with customer not receiving the 6 digit code at login.
I am having issues with the colours on the 'create account page, not showing up all the options.. Ie. first name, last name etc..
Can anyone please help...
why exactly did you make that you change? I find this a deterrent. unless you are a technology or financial company let customers log in with a username and password.
I do not believe you have any access to change the email. people are very upset it shows peopler's home address and personal phone numbers on the email with no options to change it. some have even gotten returns to their home address becuase of this
is that he mobile version of the page the customer lands on after they click the email? can you find that page in the theme editor to adjust the colors?
What change are you referring to?
I am trying to change colors.. that is all.
oh, so you converted back to Classic. duh. that was the change I was referring to as you said "converting"
in the Theme Editor go to Legacy Customer Accounts > Customer Login and you can edit the page
I thought you changed to the new customer accounts. sorry about that. read that backwards!
Thank you. But it won't allow me to change any colors..
on the right side of the screen you see where it says Custom CSS? in that box you can type in some code and change colors, fonts, margins, padding, font size, etc, etc.
I would start with:
* {
color: black;
}
and see if that works to see the text. then we can work on the border outlines. lmk if that works
I want the forms to look like my contact us page:
we can do that. once you see the text with the code lmk
Yes, the black code worked. Thank you.
try:
.field {
background-color: black;
}
That also works! Thank you
Would you be able to assist for this page and the address page also please?
strange this is happening. go into the theme editor and on the left click the Theme Settings icon and find Inputs. under Inputs find Border then Thickness. it needs to be greater than zero
curious if this is the issue
It is set to 1, so nothing is showing.
Sorry - meant to say BUT nothing is showing (not so)
okay. it could be a setting in there somewhere but certainly strange the text didn't show up.
you can try the same code. should be a .field and background color. if not we can inspect the page and look to see what they are calling that. since I have a site on dawn I can look at my site and play around with it.
I am no coder but have gotten good at fiddling with it until it works. I have changed all these colors at some point in Dawn
Thanks.. there is a bigger problem indeed. It won't let me save the pages that I add custom CSS on.. so I can't even use this work-around for the moment,
Frustrated.
hmm. I have similar code in mine.
I was just in the site. where is this Create Account box coming from? you are using some sort of third party app?
that is not Dawn theme
it is difficult without being in there. why would the borders of the fields on the Login page be a different color than the Registration page? hmmm
Yeah, I just need a solution for all my forms to look the same..
and then the legacy account section to work properly.
Thanks for trying to help though..
I am a Shopify Partner. I could get in there. doing a small job for a site and working on my site at the moment
