All things Shopify and commerce
I have a shop with 300+ products. Some products sell very quickly so I spend a lot of time trying to anticipate what to order more of to prevent stock-outs.
The days of inventory remaining report could be extremely useful, but sadly it is not because it can sometimes take a week for the data to refresh! For example, the screenshot from above was taken today. Oct 30th was last Wednesday. We have sold hundreds of units and received new shipments of inventory for dozens of products since then.
When you have a store that does a lot of volume and is constantly getting new inventory, data that is a week old is useless.
Does anyone know how to manually trigger a data refresh for this report?
If not, Shopify really needs to make this report update whenever you open it up, or at least update once per day.
Unfortunately you will find that Shopify's reporting isn't really robust enough for you to run your business. Good news is that there are a lot of options for apps that can help with reporting. Just search "reports' and you will find great options like Report Toaster, Better Reports, etc.
Yeah I'd just prefer not to pay for something when I'm already paying Shopify $100/mo ya know
If you value your time at minimum wage, one of the reporting apps will save you that multiplied by 10 each month. Solves for so many of the things you do manually right now.
Is there a good one you'd recommend for inventory management? All of these look very sandboxy with poor UI
I'm very biased because I work with the team at Report Toaster.
But I also run a 7-figure Shopify store using it, so I can verify the time savings...
