All things Shopify and commerce
Hello Shopify Community,
So when I go to customize my website - conditioningzone.com - on the editor page, the desktop view does not actually show what the website would look like on a desktop, it's more like a mixed between the mobile and desktop version. Is there a way I can adjust the dimensions or fix this problem so I can see what I'm editing on the desktop?
The 2 photos included shows the editor view for desktop and the fullscreen view. I've logged into a windows computer and the desktop editor shows what the actual desktop should look like. Is this a Mac thing and can it be fixed???
Any help would be really appreciated!
Jerry
Hi @JerryJezza

However, I logged into my shopify store on Windows and the preview screen is the same as the live view on store. The desktop editor as shown in photo 1 is exactly the same as the live view which makes editing much easier since you can see the edits go through. The issue is on Macbook Pro it doesn't show on the desktop editor, I have to manually switch over each time I make an edit? Any solutions?
As you can see, it says desktop when but it does not show the actual desktop view (in 2nd photo).
@JerryJezza thaks for posting here.
that is not a issue . you just decrease the mobile view limit
example if mobile menu is working start on 900px so set it on 767px or 750px.
Does decreasing the mobile menu allow me to edit on desktop as if it was the live store? If so, where do I go the change the size of the mobile menu?
I also just replied above indicating that my desktop view is not actually my desktop view so when I make a change, I have to manually switch to the live view to see the change I made. Will the mobile menu change help with this??
As you can see, it says desktop when but it does not show the actual desktop view (in 2nd photo).
