Different Product Views and Pricing for Dealer Accounts vs Regular Customers

Hello all,

I'm currently developing a store on Shopify and am looking for some guidance on customizing the shopping experience for different types of users. My goal is to create a distinct experience for two types of accounts: regular retail customers and dealer accounts.

Specifically, I'm looking to achieve the following:

1. Separate Login for Dealers: I want to implement a system where dealers can log in through a separate portal or with a unique login credential that distinguishes them from regular customers.

2. Different Pricing for Dealers: Once logged in, these dealer accounts should be able to view and purchase products at special dealer pricing, which is different from the pricing visible to regular customers.

3. Limited Product Range for Dealers: Unlike regular customers who have access to the full product catalog, I want to restrict the product selection available to dealer accounts. Dealers should only see and be able to purchase from a curated subset of products, not the entire range offered to regular customers.

I am seeking advice on whether such a setup is possible within Shopify, and if so, what would be the best approach to implement it. Are there built-in Shopify features or third-party apps that can help with this? Also, I am open to custom development if that's what it takes to achieve this functionality.

While I haven't put a whole lot of effort into figuring out a better way, I simply make a special dealer part number/sku for whatever I want to sell them with the appropriate pricing, then deselect all markets when you're creating the product.   When you do this, the public can't see it from the website, even if they search specifically for the sku.   Then I create the order manually from their PO.

1. Separate Login for Dealers: You can use the miniOrange IDP for this purpose. By creating dealer accounts in our IDP, you can enable dealers to SSO into the Shopify store using their IDP credentials via our SSO application. Once logged in, they will be assigned a tag that distinguishes them from regular customers.

2. Different Pricing for Dealers:
You can manually assign dealer tags to your dealers. Then, using our LockOn application, you can show dealer-specific prices to your dealers that are different from the prices seen by regular customers.

3. Limited Product Range for Dealers: With our LockOn application, you can restrict dealers to view only dealer-specific products. They won't be able to see other products in the catalog or search bar.
