Disable "pickup in store" when continue to sell when out of stock

Hi All,

I need a way to keep selling when out of stock but disable "in-store pick-up" if the item is not in stock.

As soon as I tick the "Continue selling without stock" option, this also enables the "Pick up in store" which is not what I want. I want to offer in-store pickup only for products in stock, while continue selling and dispatching from a 3rd party those products we don't stock.

I've tried everything and I can't believe how shopify does not support this.

Has anyone experienced this or managed to solve this?

Yes, I agree, and this also creates a significant problem where the delivery pickup time "Usually ready in 2 hours" is not accurate for these orders. While it’s important to leave the option for customers to pick up orders, if the ready time is incorrect, it can lead to dissatisfaction and logistical issues. This needs to be addressed for a smoother customer experience and operational workflow.

Also looking for this exact solution. It knows I have no stock, how could it be ready in two hours?!
