Hello, I need some help here.
Why can't I see the discount code used by the customer on the order page in the order details? I received a new order today, and the customer used one of our discount codes, but it didn’t appear in the order details. It only shows a dash under "discounts."
Does anyone know why this is happening?

How did you set up the discount? Is it a built-in Shopify discount, or did you create it using a 3rd-party app?

It was a reqular built-in Shopify discount, we set up it manually.
Can you please upload a screenshot of the entire order page? You can hide any customer information. Typically, if there's a discount applied to an order, it shows up on the line items or order subtotal directly, not the "Notes" section.
Thanks for sharing the screenshot. However, it contains your customer's name, so if you'd like, you can delete it.
It doesn't appear like the discount was applied to the order, which I think is the core problem here. Is the customer sure that the discount was actually applied after they typed it in?what are the settings of the discount? It's possible that the order was just not eligible for it.
The issue started when we received an order that had an unreasonable discount. The order was a bundle of products created through a third-party app. When we first checked the order, we didn't see any discount listed—just a dash. We contacted the bundle app's support team, assuming there was an error with their app. However, after investigating, they responded that it was a regular discount and provided an image showing the discount.
It turned out that the discount was legitimate; we had created it earlier but only shared it with a few customers. It is not our responsibility how this customer obtained the discount. Our main concern is understanding why the discount did not appear in the order details, as this issue prevented us from initially realizing that a discount had been applied.
