Discount code that gives $ off, plus free shipping?

I know this has been asked, but I still can't find a clear answer.

I'm running a promotion that gives a certain price off plus free shipping. I can create two separate codes, but don't want it to be too complicated for my customers. Has anyone found a way to achieve this? Are there any recommended apps that can help?

For free shipping, you can create a shipping profile/rate based on order amount
You can add rate from Shipping and delivey --> Shipping rate
and for $ off, you can use discount code

So I'm offering one free box, plus free shipping with the discount code. BUT if someone wants to buy two boxes, they only have to pay for one of them, and they still get free shipping. Would this work with your solution?

If free shipping is for specific products instead of order total then you can try separate shipping profile for that product and offer discount using discount code. If rules are a bit complex then you can try some apps

Hi @dh_22 You can try using the Discount Depot App, which offers a $ off along with free shipping. You can create a Buy X Get Y rule for the 1 free box and alternatively, you can create a free shipping discount using the same app.

If you are on Shopify Plus, Ive created a new solution with Code Connector
It will automatically apply the free shipping discount when your order discount is applied, so users only need 1 code to get both discounts.
As mentioned, it is currently Shopify Plus only, as it requires use of a checkout extension (Plus only).  
Hopefully in the future Shopify opens up checkout extensions to other plans.

I'm in the same situation trying to get a discount code "20% off + free shipping" for a specific segment. I want this code to be generated by Klaviyo and be sent by email in a flow.

I'm not sure how complicated it is to add this but there should be a checkbox or an option for the current discount options that says "Grant free shipping" or something like that. 

I don't want to add another app to be able to have this option. Bummer
