Discount if the user adds 1, 2, or 3 quantities

Hi Guys 
I need help is this possible with custom in the theme, or any app please suggest.

• Apply a 50% discount if the user adds 1, 2, or 3 quantities of a "A" product.
• If the user adds Qty 4 of the same "A" product, only the first 3 are discounted with 50%, and add the new 4th one is full price.

we need to remove discount from 4th product discount will only apply upto 3rd product..
product A , qty 1=> discount applied
product A , qty2=> discount applied
product A , qty3=> discount applied
product A , qty4=> discount not applied

As per your Requirments there are two ways. First one is Custom and Second one is Shopify app.
If you Prefer Shopify app the I highly recommend this app by secommap Gifts and Bundles

Do something like packs will help you? I know we handle this in our app BundleJoy (https://apps.shopify.com/bundlejoy) but you have to create a bundle with packs (ex 3-pack) and the user gets the discount if he adds the 3-pack products in the cart but if he increases the quantity, the additional units won't get the discount.

Add 3 x "Snowboard: Liquid products" -> Checkout -> click the cart icon from top-right -> Increase the quantity of a product from cart

Here's a screenshot of how you could set your discount up:

Super straightforward -- use an "Include/exclude products" condition to limit the discount to "Product A," and then set the "Quantity" to 3. As you can see in this next screenshot, even if there are 4 of these items in the cart, only 3 will receive the discount:

Here's the admin setup where you can choose a maximum discount quantity and also apply it to only some items:

In the cart, any excess items don't get the discount:

We've implemented this for other brands as well, and here's a loom video on how this would work. Sharing a screengrab below where a 50% discount is applied to 3 quantity of the item whereas the 4th item is added at full price.

Product A - $8 (full price)

1. 3x Qty added to cart at $4
2. 1x Qty added to cart at $8 

Total = 20$
