I created a discount code but I don't want it to apply to discounted products. how can this be achieved? thank you!

You can set it for a specific collection or specific products.

You can exclude discounted products from a discount code on Shopify by using the "Product-based discounts" feature in the Discounts section of the Shopify admin. This feature allows you to create a discount code that only applies to specific products or collections, and you can exclude any products that are already on sale or discounted.

To exclude discounted products from a discount code:

1. Go to the Discounts section of the Shopify admin.
2. Click the "Create discount" button.
3. Select "Product-based discounts" from the list of discount types.
4. In the "Discount" section, enter the details of your discount code, such as the code itself and the amount of the discount.
5. In the "Conditions" section, select "Exclude products" and choose the products or collections you want to exclude from the discount.
6. Save your discount code.

By following these steps, your discount code will only apply to products that are not already discounted, and not to the discounted products.
