All things Shopify and commerce
I am using discount links for my shopify store and the discount gets applied once a user adds the product to cart. However, the price on the landing pages shows up to be the original one. Is there a way that I could show discounted prices (preferably original and discounted) once the user lands on the page? This would really help with the overall user experience.
Hi, @Fahadmansoor!
Can you tell me a little more about the link you are providing to your customers? It sounds as though you have an automatic discount set up that is applied at checkout - is that correct?
If you are working with an automatic discount, it is normal that the price on the collection or product page is not reflecting it. Our discounts are set up to appear on the checkout page exclusively.
If your discount applies to all customers, it would be best to set up a Compare at Price for your products. It will show the discounted price on the product page as well as the original price with a strike through it. Essentially, this acts as a sale. However, it would only be an effective solution if you want the discount to be for all your customers.
With that being said, kindly feel free to provide more context on your discount strategy if it is more complex or exclusive to certain customer groups. I can provide alternative solutions following your response.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers!
