Display prices in the 'All Products' or 'Inventory' view

Display prices in the 'All Products' or 'Inventory' view

I'm looking to use the backend database to be able to quote prices over the phone. Is there any way to display the pricing in either the 'All Products' or 'Inventory' list view without having to go into the individual product pages?

We have about 8,000 products in 48 categories, and people call about multiple products in individual categories. It's really time consuming having to go into the product pages for each one.

I know that I can set up the bulk edit page to display them when I filter by availability and sort by quantity, but I was hoping to have them displayed without extra steps for our sales people to go through.

Thanks

That's what I thought, but I wanted to make sure.  I appreciate your time.

This is ridiculous. That needs to be kicked up to the developers.
You could be more helpful and point us in the direction that helps us let Shopify know that we are not happy about this. It is as if Shopify wants this to die right here.

You're right. I did manage to create my own workaround though. I've attached two pictures of what I've done. I used a bulk import/export app and downloaded my entire inventory, including the price. I deleted all columns except the SKU and the price and appended the price with a $ sign. I then reuploaded the entire inventory and set the price to be entered into the variant option 1 field, which shows in the inventory view. I made sure to go into my theme's code and remove any code that would display variant option information on the webpage, so I don't have to worry about the prices showing on the website (we like to have people call in or fill out a form to get pricing).

I hope this helps.

I agree. How is seeing the item cost as a column NOT just thought number 1. Ridiculous and shopify needs to fix this!!

Right? But hey, we got a 4-page explanation of their process behind choosing a new button design. So that's something, I guess.

almost 2025 and for some reason this STILL isn't an option.

You should be able to add a Product view and edit the columns, just like in the Order page

How? I added a new view and there is no spot to add or edit columns, and if I click into products then edit columns it only allows them to be moved around.

When I said you “should” be able to, I meant shopify should add that functionality sorry.. same as they have done for the orders page

That is not a solution since there no solution. Any basic open source online shop can displays price of the products in the product list, as a sortable and filterable column. What a shame.

Sorry, I didn't see this question until today. Take a look at my response to Hulkfan. I don't have a step-by-step instruction, but I gave the gist of what I did. Let me know if you have any questions, and I'll help the best that I can.
