Display Random Collection in Featured Collection Widget

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm looking for a way to display a random collection in the featured collection widget.  I have been looking and see many ways to randomize product order within a collection but no way randomize the collection selection.  Any ideas?

Hello @TwistedCrafts ,

Possible but needs customization.

If you can code please follow or you need to hire a developer:
Define collections name in the top of the loop or widget depending on the setup you have.

If you are working with a developer you can ask him to provide options in theme settings to enter collection names so you can manage them without editing the code.

In the second step use the defined collection with JavaScript and random logic  so every time a customer reloads the page a new collection appears in the widget.

Last step: get the response from the JavaScript and append it in the existing widget or maybe you need to create a new one depending on the existing code.
