DNS Cname question domain forward info question

I hope my question makes sense

I bought my www name from somewhere besides Shopify. I am trying to update the DNS records. I am getting a Shopify alert that it needs attention. Can someone please confirm...

Does everyone use the same IP A name: 23.227.38.65 (I found in a tutorial)

and the same Cname information: shops.myshopify.com 

Are these both correct for me to use?

Thanks for reaching out. You can find all the steps to connect your domain to Shopify in this help document, and these are the DNS records you'll need:

1. Point the A record to the Shopify IP address 23.227.38.65.
2. If necessary, change the Host name to the @ symbol.
3. Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
4. Point the CNAME record with the name www to shops.myshopify.com.. Be sure to include the period at the end of the domain.
