I got a bunch of emails regarding Authentication and DMARC for my emails. I'm not the shop owner and I just do support for the websites. Do I need to do this?
My email doesn't go to customers and I have a bunch of shops my email is on so I'm not sure how to handle this or if I need to do anything. Does anyone know if I need to do anything.
Thanks for the assistance
Hi there, @kemmieg. Thanks for taking the time to post your question aout these DMARC emails you've been receiving. My name is Imogen, and I'm happy to take some time to chat with you about your question!
There are some new guidelines coming down from Email Service Providers like Google for example, that are requiring that DMARC values be added to DNS settings for domains to ensure for successful email sends. We've sent out these emails to users to make them aware of these changes, and how to implement these values within their domains. Ideally, the person managing the domain for the business (likely the store owner in most situations) would be responsible for adding these values.
In your situation, with you being a partner, you may have received duplicate emails if you were a collaborator/staff member, or you had development stores you were working within. You can ignore these emails if you've not actively managing the domain/email situation for any businesses that belong to you, or otherwise.
