Have been a 2-year user of Shopify and was on the monthly Shopify Plus plan until I decided to change it to an annual subscription 2 months ago, hoping to save some fees and since the system was running well. Having paid the annual subscription, Shopify closed my account just 2 months later, due to the use of IP images. I've only used 2 out of the 12 months subscription paid and Shopify does not want to issue me a refund for the remainder. Their customer support has not given me a good reason other than saying that Shopify does not issue refunds in general.
I'm given up trying to get my account back but I want my rightful refund since Shopify was the only who terminated it.
This has been a nightmare, and I'm warning Shopify users here - do not get scammed by Shopify.
