Does deactivating one store deactivate all your other stores? I understand it will also deactivate the plan associated with that store but I have another store that I want to keep and just want to make sure deactivating one store does not deactivate all. Thanks.
Hello @bizowner247 ,
No, deactivating one store in Shopify does not deactivate any other stores you may have. Each Shopify store operates independently, so deactivating one store will not affect the status or functionality of any other stores you own.
When you deactivate a store in Shopify, it only affects that specific store and its associated plan. Your other stores will remain active and unaffected. However, do keep in mind that deactivating a store will suspend access to that store's admin dashboard and storefront. If you have multiple stores and only wish to deactivate one while keeping the others active, you can do so without any impact on the other stores.
Hello @bizowner247,
No, this only impacts the particular store and its corresponding plan.
If you decided to cancel your Shopify subscription forever, you need to follow these steps:
1. From your Shopify admin panel go to the Settings > Deactivate store.
2. At the bottom of the pop-up screen choose "Deactivate store".
3. Shopify will ask for feedback on why you are canceling. Choose an appropriate option from the drop-down menu and click "Continue".
4. Confirm your decision.
5. Once canceled, you will no longer be billed by Shopify.
If you have any pending bills or outstanding charges, make sure to settle them before canceling your subscription.
It is worth mentioning that closing your Shopify store permanently means all data associated with it will be deleted in 24 months and you won’t be able to recover it. Make sure you have exported your store data before proceeding with the cancellation process.
Please, let me know if you need any assistance.
Best regards,
Anastasia
