All things Shopify and commerce
I'm not a big fan of the Shopify Collection Banner. So I essentially made a new collection template for my collection pages. However, on the back end where you enter the collection page title, description, meta data, and image. I have that info filled out, but none of it (except the meta data) will actually be on the page because I removed the collection banner and essentially replaced it with my own layout, text, etc. My question is will this hurt SEO or confuse SEO by doing it this way? Or is there a better way of doing it? I noticed if I use Semrush to check it, I still see the Meta Title & Meta Description that I used, but of course I don't see the actual description field or image because I disabled the banner.

Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
