Does shopify automatically set currency for a customer by looking at their location?

Hello, I'm not using shopify's language and currency selector, not combined anymore. I got one app for the language selector and I currently do not have anything for the currency selector. But I want shopify to automatically set the currency type by looking at the country the customer is in, does shopify already do this? If not, how would I be able to implement this? Thanks in advance. 

 

And if you are currently looking into this for me can you please tell me wether you the correct language/currency was set for you when you have a look at my website? I would really appreciate this. URL: TrendBlend

That is a great question! You can display your customers local currency by setting up international domains, to provide a localized shopping experience. We do have a great article that goes into depth about Setting up unique URLs for specific countries that you may find helpful.

Hello @Ollie I do have subdomains such as fr.your-shop-name.com. Furthermore I don't want a currency selector so the customer's should not be able to see prices from another country than their own country. So for customers from England the currency should be automatically set to GBP and the prices from Settings -> Markets should be used. Is this maybe possible, if so can you please help me with it 🙂

I can see what you mean there. Since I am unable to view your store set up from the Community forums, I believe it would be best to speak with our live support about this situation to allow us to advise further. With that being said, you can get in touch with our live support by navigating to the Help Center. Once you arrive at the Help Center, you will need to make the virtual assistant be aware that you would like to Speak with support and you will be connected with a Support Advisor accordingly.
