Dropdown menu for language selection in the newsletter

I am trying to implement a language selection feature in my Shopify store's newsletter form. The goal is to allow customers to choose their preferred language (Russian, English, French) when they sign up for the newsletter.

To achieve this, I’ve added a dropdown menu for language selection, and I’ve used hidden input fields to capture the selected language. However, I am facing an issue where the selected language is not being correctly sent along with the form submission. Despite the dropdown being populated and the selection being made, the form does not seem to capture the chosen language, and it is not being sent to the server. How to fix this?
