Dump immmobilize Custom Domain that hasn't ever worked

Hello,

So, a month ago I bought a custom domain, and it has never worked, I have been through five very nice help advisors all of whom have tried and failed to help me. I am about to buy a NEW custom domain even though I will have wasted all my money I invested in print materials with the old domain on it, I am just a person, an artist  not a corporation so I am limited with finances .

I need to try and dump, immobilize or inactivate the cursed former custom domain, and replace it with the new hope!

Any advice on how best to do this and not make things worse?

I do very much appreciate help from the community...

Thanks

Hello, @studiotules.

Thanks for reaching out and posting this question.

If you're using a third-party domain, then you can follow our step-by-step guide on Connecting a third-party domain to Shopify. The instructions are the same for all third-party domains and it involves adding Shopify's DNS records to your domain settings. If you're experiencing any issues with connecting the domain or you need help with editing the DNS settings for your domain, then this is something that your domain provider can help you with.
