All things Shopify and commerce
Hello,
Anybody know if there is an easy way to check where/if a collection is used, and what pages it is used on?
For example we had a "Shop" collection and we created a new but similar "Shop All" collection. We updated our menu to link the "Shop All" collection instead of "Shop", but we forgot that the "Shop" collection was also connected to a link at the bottom of one of our pages. This was an issue because our "Shop" collection did not have the products we wanted displayed in it.
It would have been really useful to be able to go into the collection and see if it was still linked anywhere on our website, and where it was linked.
Any thoughts on how to do this bar the tedious method of literally going through every active page on our website?
Cheers,
Steph
Hi @StephG_NZ ,
We can use crawlling bots like screaming frog to crawl the whole site and detect where the URL is.
I will have to give the app a go! It sounds like a good solution.
Would it then function similarly so you can see which products are featured where on the website/in which collections?
Actually, NVM on that one, I see you can view which collections a product features in on the product page - would be good if Shopify had something similar to this but for collections and where they are used!
