Hi!
I am not new to online selling. I have had my eBay store 25 years but have decided to open my own website. I have spent the last 3 months manually uploading product one by one. This is just not working as it is very time consuming so now I am looking into migration. The question I have is if I use one of these apps to help me migrate my 9000 listings how can I stop duplicate listing (I already manually listed about 10%)? Also can I opt to migrate specific categories and not the whole store? I do not want to transfer over my clothing just all my holiday items. Can anyone help me and give me advice on what the best options for me would be from here? I currently have about 10% of my ebay listed on Shopify.

I see. sorry to hear that. If you could provide me the export file, I might give a try on my end. but up to you since you prefer manually.
Hi. I think the best way is use bulking import.
1. Export them to xsl or csv.
2. Build a simple import Shopify API code for importing (Depend on your export file)
I am not sure how to build an API code. I am trying to understand all this coding stuff but it is not easy for me. I bought into LIT Commerce but I think probably a big mistake. It does what I want it to do but I have to manually go in and change all my listings getting rid of the description as it does not pertain to Shopify only to eBay traffic. So I am back to manually doing each listing since I feel I am doing it anyway on a migrate.

Thank you so much! I will send it in the morning. Trust me I do not prefer manual which is why I bought into that app for 100 bucks a month! I have 3 business degrees so everything I do I can figure out with excel but I never learned coding, IT, software jargon so I am struggling a bit (start my IT degree tomorrow to better help me run my online store). I am just afraid of importing a CSV file and somehow really messing my store up. The app looked pretty simple to the eye until I realized I am basically redoing everything so back to square 1.
No worry, thanks for sharing. Usually, APP has a trail days, you don't need to pay if that is not fit you...
OK, when the file is ready, I will take a look then let you know what to do. Of course, test on my testing store.
Migrating 9,000 listings from eBay to Shopify is much easier with tools like Cart2Cart, which allow you to streamline the process and avoid duplications. During the migration, you can filter and select specific categories—like your holiday items—so you don’t transfer unwanted listings like clothing. To prevent duplicates, Cart2Cart enables you to skip already migrated items by mapping your existing Shopify listings with eBay data. This approach will save you time and ensure a smooth transition without errors.
