Editing customer’s personalisation

Hi guys, I sell a lot of personalised products and after orders are placed, customers sometimes request to change the personalisation on their products or to add a personalised product to their existing order. I know how to add items to the order but if these are personalised there is no way to add the personalisation with it. Is there a way to edit the customers personalisation upon request and is there a way to add personalisation when adding another item to their order?

How are you facilitating these personalized products? Do you have a supplier that creates these products for you? Do you use a third party app to facilitate these products for your business? These details are helpful for us to know in regards to making suggestions on how to make these on-the-fly changes to products.

If you're using a third party entity to make these products, then you'll want to find a way to work with them to make these changes for these products. If you haven't already, considering reaching out to this entity that makes these changes to see if you can have them reflected per the customer's request. If you're looking to show these changes on the orders in the Shopify Admin, you can leave notes in the order timeline to reflect the changes that were requested on your end, and then connect with the entity you work with directly to make them aware of the changes.
