Editing my store while password protected

I am trying to edit my store while it’s password protected as I have done in the past but it will only let me edit the password page. I don’t want my store to be open to my customers while I am moving things around any help please

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some assistance with this request, to ensure it gets resolved. To confirm I'm fully understanding, are you receiving an error when attempting to make customizations to your theme?

 

If so, I'd encourage you to attempt some local troubleshooting steps to ensure this is not related to a browser error. For ease, I've gone ahead and listed those steps below to see if this helps to resolve:

 

  • Clear your Cache and Cookies.
  • Access the shop in an Incognito Tab. 
  • Try accessing the shop from Another Browser (i.e Chrome, Firefox, or Safari).
  • Try Another Device. 
  • Try accessing from the Shopify Mobile App. 
  • Try Restarting your device.
  • Make sure your device is Up To Date. 

 

After completing all of the outlined steps above, you continue to experience this issue, please feel free to Contact Us directly. This will allow our support team to take a closer look as enabling the password protection feature should not impact your ability to make customizations to the shop.

  • Head over to our Contact Page.
  • Log into your shop.
  • Enter Contact Support into the chat box.

Hi. 

This is also happening to me now and I've done all the troubleshooting steps and I'm not able access contact support. Im also getting a 3rd party cookie msg even though all is enabled.

 

'There’s a technical problem with the Shopify Help Center that prevented this page from loading. Please go back to the Help Center homepage or try reloading this page.' - this is the msg I get when trying to contact chat advisor.

Please help ASAP

I had the exact same problem when using Safari. I swapped over to Chrome and had no issues.

Thank you @RealHuskyNinja! I was having the same issue and switching from Safari worked for me.
