All things Shopify and commerce
Hello
I setup and send my mail to my customers but after some time a get a failed status and a message that was saying "85%" of your mail are not send because of not valid emails....I have seen that and from other users here in community, and i don't understand my email are all 100% valid i used squarespace before and i was sending email normal, but now i import put those email on shopify to start a campaign and i have this issue...does anyone knows what happen?
Thanks in advance
I'm having the same issue. Moving over from Mailchimp and only 5% of my emails sent out in my first campaign when 100% would send out in mailchimp.
Shopify, is there a reason for this?
Same issue with me. Have moved from Mailchimp to Shopify. Same issue. Shopify please help!
Further to this, I raised issue with Shopify support and got a response that I was sending to too many contacts that had not subscribed. That's actually not possible to do as I pointed out to support. The system will not send to people who have not opted-in! Frustrating!
I have the same problem and Shopify has not been helpful. Successfully sent campaigns every week to 2500 accounts with less than 50 bounces. This week it failed after 78 bounces (in only 999 sends). Sent to remaining 1500 accts and had 89 more bounces. RESENT to the bounced accounts (which should NOT work as they say they don't resend to bounces) but nearly half were delivered. AND, when I do a search for all bounced records these newly successful accounts appear on it. So I can't even delete bounced accounts with confidence... GRRR.
Having the same issue but mine says 95% failed to sent
Hi, everyone! We have some insight in our guide to email campaign delivery on why emails might stop delivering. This guide also covers how to improve delivery metrics. I won't be able to view your accounts from this public space, but please contact us via the Help Center again if you have further questions about this.

Hi Everyone,
I got this to work after a lot of failed campaigns and no Shopify support. They really need a better system for people switching to their services.
But here is the fix: keep resending the same campaign over and over, but each time make a new customer group that excludes everyone that already got the campaign email, so that no one gets the email more than once. Once I finally got through my entire list, then I made a new master list and filtered out anyone that unsubscribed or had undelivered emails. Once this new list was created, the campaigns started to go through without issue.
I think the main issue with Shopify email are corporate emails that have filters. These get denied by Shopify, but seemed to be delivered with Mailchimp or ignored as "filtered/bounced" instead of "undelivered". Shopify will stop sending the emails if too many emails bounce back, whereas Mailchimp didn't. Once you scrub your list from emails that bounced, then it should be fine.
Hey Rosstheboss - did you manage to send an email to all subscribers sucessfully after doing this?
Same question. Also, I have sent to the bounces over and over, getting about 25 delivered each time. However, these accounts remain on the list of Bounces. Is this true for you also? If so we can't rely on the Customer > Bounce filter to clean up the Db.
Sorry that it took me so long to see this!
Yes, I have had no issues with failed campaigns after my initial scrub. Shopify is just did a terrible job helping people transition from other services. I found that the issue was resolved once corporate emails were excluded, even though they had signed up to receive emails. I'm not sure why Shopify considers this a bounce.
I suddenly have the same issue with bounce back after two years of using Shopify mail and having 10 years with my subscriber list. Can you give more detailed instructions on your fix? I'm ready to tear my hair out dealing with Shopify help, which is not helpful!
shopify is getting internal signals that your subscribers are bouncing the emails or marking as spam.
you will want to create segments of customers and slowly send very specific targeted emails to each specific customer instead of sending to "all". after some smaller list targeted emails you will get better "scores" and will be able to send to more. i have made a video explaining this issue - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgBdAjokQhU
