email from an unknown id indicating to be shopify

Hello, the id shopifystoreassistantt@gmail.com is spam - right ? I got an email indicating some violations to be fixed in 7 days, atleast one of which i believe is not correct.

Yes, that email is most likely a scam. Shopify will only contact you from official domains like @Shopify.com or through your Shopify admin dashboard. If you received an email from shopifystoreassistantt@gmail.com, do not click on any links or provide any sensitive information.

To stay safe, go to Settings > Notifications in your Shopify admin to check for any official messages. You can also forward the suspicious email to safety@shopify.com for verification
