Error CNAME record out of nowhere after 3 years ?

Hi, so I need some help.

Out of nowhere, we received a notification that our CNAME record is no longer pointing to our Shopify. So I go check, and am baffled that it's no longer there.

The A record @ 23.227.38.65  is still there, so I add the CNAME record again that points towards shops.myshopify.com but I also notice there's a CNAME record pointing towards ghs.googlehosted.com, and when I use https://www.whatsmydns.net/ , it's actually pointing to this CNAME record.

Am a bit confused, I know it takes time for a DNS to update, so If anyone has any idea about this, should I wait now or should I delete the CNAME record of googlehosted ? (btw, I use namecheap)

Hey @GFiy

In this case you will want to remove any unwanted DNS records from your domain host so that the domain can effectively update it's records. If you have conflicting DNS records then you may have issues loading the website still.

You should have an A @ record, a CNAME WWW record and possibly an AAAA record as well. You can confirm these records in our Help Center here: Connecting a third party domain.
